Se ha hecho de rogar pero ya está aquí. Tras varios meses de secretismos creando expectación en las redes sociales, adidas acaba de presentar la que ya han denominado: «la mejor zapatilla del mundo para correr». Bueno, no nos adelantemos y vamos a ver qué nos ofrece.
De entrada la adidas Ultra Boost tiene un 20% más de amortiguación Boost que cualquiera de los otros modelos Boost de la marca alemana y toda ella estará formada por este material. Así pues, se ha eliminado la tradicional suela EVA para tener un contacto más directo y que el Boost tenga un papel más importante en la zapatilla.
El upper de la zapatilla estará formado con la tecnología Primeknit de adidas para mejorar el confort y el ajuste. Con esta tecnología a la que aún no le han sacado todo el provecho que deberían (quizá porque su lanzamiento coincidió con el Flyknit de Nike), el pie del corredor podrá expandirse hasta 10 mm a lo ancho mientras corremos sin que se note incomodidad o fricciones que pueden acabar causando ampollas.
Una de las características más avanzadas de la adidas Ultra Boost la podremos ver en la suela Stretch Web, una tecnología que permite que se adapte y se estire de acuerdo al impacto y movimiento del pie. Trabajando con la mediasuela de Boost, se complementarán para sacar lo mejor de ambas.
La construcción de talón es también totalmente nueva, liberando el movimiento natural del tendón de Aquiles. La suela vendrá dotada del nuevo Torsion System de densidad dual que vendrá integrado en la base de la zapatilla. Este sistema permitirá un movimiento más independiente entre el talón y el antepié para asegurar la estabilidad y que los entrenamientos sean más suaves y menos lesivos.
