Asics MetaRun, la nueva zapatilla para correr premium
La Nueva Zapatilla Asics
La semana pasada Asics daba a conocer al mundo su nueva zapatilla, la Asics MetaRun.
Tras tres años de investigación, la marca japonesa lanzaba un modelo de gama alta (altísima), edición limitada (sólo saldrán 60.000 pares a la venta) y con un precio de salida de 250 €, lo que supone un nuevo máximo en el mercado de zapatillas para correr.
El eslogan de la MetaRun es uno que nos es familiar, el de mejor zapatilla del mundo. ¿Pero qué hay detrás de esta zapatilla? ¿Es para todo el mundo? ¿Merece la pena lo que vale?
MetaRun, todo en una zapatilla
Hasta ahora, casi todas las marcas tenían un modelo para desplegar todas sus tecnologías, tanques de más de 200 € que, por peso y rigidez, hacían la zapatilla poco servible. En Asics, ese modelo era la Kinsei.
La MetaRun se sale de este patrón y sí está diseñada para poder correr con ella y servir a una gran parte del pelotón popular. Está fabricada pensada en el corredor de larga distancia que quiera una zapatilla para todo, para rodajes a ritmo controlado, para días más rápidos y para el mismo día de la carrera.
La Asics MetaRun incorporará cinco tecnologías nuevas:
- FlyteFoam: media suela nueva, más ligera que la anterior pero dando un plus de amortiguación.
- AdaptTruss: nuevo sistema de estabilidad adaptable dinámicamente a la demanda de cada corredor.
- Sloped DUOMAX: compuesto de la media suela para adaptarse a las exigencias de soporte del corredor.
- Optimized Upper: combinación de Jacquard Mesh y un exoesqueleto externo, MetaClutch, para que se ajuste mejor a cualquier tipo de pie.
El futuro del running
El comprador empieza a perder el encanto cuando las marcas acaban cayendo en tópicos como «la mejor zapatilla jamás creada» o.. «entramos en el futuro del running«.
Lo que queda claro es que, tras una semana, la MetaRun no ha dejado indiferente a nadie.
Motoi Oyama, Presidente y Director General de Asics, decía la semana pasada: “Como líderes en el mercado de zapatillas de running, ASICS necesita ir más allá. Propusimos a nuestros expertos del Instituto de Deporte y Ciencia desarrollar una zapatilla que trascendiera los límites conocidos hasta ahora y que nos asegurase un futuro de éxito. MetaRun es nuestra zapatilla más tecnológica y avanzada jamás creada y marca un significante avance para ASICS. Estoy orgulloso que nuestro equipo haya sido capaz que subir el listón como nunca antes para establecer un nuevo referente en zapatillas de larga distancia”.
¿Qué ofrece la nueva MetaRun?
- Ligereza: a pesar de proporcionar más amortiguación, la media suela de FlyteFoam es un 55% más ligera a la media del sector.
- Estabilidad: pieza AdaptTruss para adaptabilidad progresiva, en principio ideal para corredores pronadores.
- Ajuste: optimizado con el MetaClutch y Jacqueard Mesh.
- Amortiguación: un 18% más que en modelos anteriores por la nueva fórmula híbrida de X-GEL.
Como decíamos, la Asics MetaRun estará disponible a partir del próximo 1 de diciembre en tiendas especialistas y sólo habrá 60.000 pares en todo el mundo. 250 € será su PVP y, aunque al final siempre es menor, la edición limitada puede suponer que esté siempre por encima de los 200 €.
